The new Tana suspension bridge in Norway, with a length of 260 meters and an iconic shape, just celebrated its grand opening.

For this extraordinary project, Redaelli supplied the entire cable system, weighing a total of 240 tonnes and comprising 124 mm and 140 mm diameter Full Locked Coil cables, as well as sleeves and dampers.

Redaelli is glad to have also supported the designer and the installation team during the delicate full cable installation and tensioning.

The new Tana bridge, replacing the old one built in 1948, is the only access over the lowest 100 km of the Tana River, which connects Norway and Russia at the extreme north, guaranteeing safe passage even during the rigid winters when nearby ports are frozen over.
